BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit will be closed temporarily starting Wednesday, June 5, according to the Louisiana Department of Health Office of Public Health.
Officials said the closure is for repairs after storm damage. LDH said the health unit is expected to open again on Monday, June 10.
Those seeking a permit for a business from the Office of Public Health’s Sanitarian Services are suggested to go to the West Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit located at 685 Louisiana Ave. If you have any questions, you can call 225-342-2650.
LDH said Funeral directors who need death certificates can visit the Pointe Coupee Parish Health Unit located at 282-B Hospital Road in New Roads.
If you typically go to the East Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit for health services, LDH provided a list of alternative health units you can go to during the closure.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit is located at 353 North 12th St.
