Oasis fans were today scrambling to buy tickets to watch the band's reunion tour after the general sale opened to the public.
A limited number of tickets were purchased on Friday evening during a three-hour presale window which saw some listed online for more than £6,000 - around 40 times the face value of a standing ticket - prompting a warning from the band they could be cancelled.
The legendary Britpop band sparked a frenzied reaction on following confirmation of their comeback with shows announced in the UK and Ireland in July and August next year which led to extra dates added to meet demand.

Watch: MailOnline reporter bags Oasis tickets
This is the moment one desperate Oasis fan finally landed four tickets for a Wembley tour date - as his frustrated friends keep waiting in the online queues.
MailOnline reporters joined some 14 million people hoping to be in with a chance of nabbing one of 1.4 million tickets available via general sale this morning.
After staggering little by little to the front of the queue, one of six reporters beat the odds to secure the opportunity to buy a ticket - as others complained of site errors.

Lucky fans with tickets say they 'feel terrible'
Astrid reached out to MailOnline to say she and her friends were lucky enough to bag four tickets to an Oasis gig - although they paid an eye-watering £337.50 each for an 'in-demand' standing ticket.
With services fees, order processing fees and facility charges included, the friends paid £1,435.15 overall.
Astrid said:
'Instead of dancing on the table because we got tickets we honestly feel pretty terrible right now as so many genuinefans are missing out.
'Either because they're stuck in the Ticketmaster queue forever with no chance to actually buy tickets or because they simply can't affordthese prices.
'Ticketmaster touting their own tickets is the last thing anyone needed after touts had already boughtup so many in the presale last night.
'It might be time to go back to selling a certain amount of tickets in-person at the venues or really enforce ID checks at the gates (with the option to change names through a legit platform and for face value).'

Oasis fans think tickets are sold out
Several fans have taken to social media to share their theory that tickets to the Oasis gigs have sold out - despite Ticketmaster only confirming that the Dublin dates are sold out.
Those (finally) getting through to the selection screen now can't see any tickets available - despite the website insiting that there are.
An Oasis fan said: 'There were 70,000 people ahead of me at 9.15am. Five hours later and it still let me through to shop. Likely sold out three hours before this.'
One frustrated user asked: 'Are all of the Oasis shows sold out yet? I need to go on with my day. Thanks.'
Gemma Lennon, who logged into Ticketmaster at 8.30am, told MailOnline:
We’ve given up now. We had the "continuing to check availability" wheel and then at around 4pm we were kicked out. Just kicked out.
We wasted a whole day trying to get tickets. Kind of put us off Oasis to be honest.

Oasis get community note from X over price rises
Ticketmaster had been under fire for increasing prices of some tickets in 'dynamic pricing'.
The band had warned fans tickets can only be sold at face value via Ticketmaster and Twickets, and tickets on secondary ticketing sites are 'either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters'.
But a community note later appeared beneath the post saying the band had allowed Ticketmaster to sell tickets at higher prices via dynamic pricing.

Breaking:Dublin Oasis tickets sold out
Although tickets to other shows appear to be thinning, it is only Oasis' Irish shows at Croke Park that have been confirmed as sold out.
Ticketmaster confirmed that all the tickets had been released and sold for the two concerts in Dublin - although the ticketing website did dangle the prospect of tickets selling in the future and encouraged desperate fans to 'check back later as more ay be released'.
Dublin MEP Regina Doherty confirmed there would be a 'serious investigation into Ticketmaster by Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission after thousands of fans faced 400 per cent surprise price increases for Oasis tickets.'

The lucky few who have already bagged a ticket
Despite all the chaos some lucky fans have managed to bagged themselves tickets to the shows next year.
Heidi Bradshaw from Nottingham said:
I’m a 54-year-old woman, with one 23-year-old daughter, and I was lucky enough to get a pre sale code for last night.
We managed to get tickets got the 2nd August Wembley show.I’m a long time fan of Oasis and my daughter has grown up listening to their music.
We consider ourselves very lucky we are able to get tickets and see the band, but feel gutted for those who are trying their damndest to see Oasis and are not so lucky.
Stevie Marie Graimes said:
We got Oasis tickets to go on the date of our ten-year wedding anniversary! The dream!
Angela Wale added:
We got tickets after 2.5 hours in the queue at ticket master. We were 17,500 but managed to get some seats at Wembley.
It crashed when we got through but I just pressed back button refreshed and was back in - it isn’t for the faint hearted as you know the back button can be lethal at times like this but it was the only option and if paid off.
We are in the gods but we will be there on August 2!

Fans still in queue are 'losing hope'
It has been over four hours since Oasis tickets went on sale and several thousand fans are still waiting in line.
Nicole told the MailOnline:
It hasn’t even moved in over an hour, feeling quite deflated at the moment, losing hope, but normal people like us are never the lucky ones.
She and her husband have been 'big Oasis fans since the beginning', a passion they have passed onto their two kids.
Mark Gregory told MailOnline he has been waiting in the queue for several hours, although he said it 'hasn't moved for about one-and-a-half hours.'
Doesn't look good for many fans,' Mark said. 'It's an anti-climax to the euphoria many fans experienced when the tour was announced.
Lisa, who spoke to us earlier about nearly getting her hands on tickets before being chucked out, told us she just got to the selection page again only to be met with 'a circle of doom and an error message'.
'That was a shambles,' she told MailOnline. 'Only four hours of my life wasted.'

Oasis fan says he is 'trying not to cry'
Fans of the Britpop band are flooding MailOnline with messages about their 'horrible' ticketing experiences.
Jason Void, who has been an Oasis fan since he was 11 years-old, told MailOnline he is 'trying not to cry' and that his morning so far has been 'brutal'.
'I logged into Ticketmaster last night and left the laptop open all night but it just logged me out and then the website wouldn't load again. It repeated error messages.'
After logging onto another computer, Jason said he managed to get into the queue... for the official Oasis queue.
'It has been 4 hours or so now,' he said. 'I'm ready to give up. Horrible.'
'It's so sad that so many fans with such deep connections to their music will have to miss out.'

As Oasis reform, incredible chart reveals just how long it took popular bands to bounce back
By Jonathan Chadwick
The mad rush for Oasis tickets has begun – heralding one of the biggest rock reunions the world has ever seen.
The 90s icons will play 17 dates across Britain and Ireland next summer – their first since 2009 – with more dates set to be announced.
While 15 years is a hefty gap between a band's career, it's nowhere near the longest time between a split and a reconciliation.
In fact, some groups waited more than twice this length before finally burying the hatchet.
MailOnline's chart reveals just how long it took for popular acts to reform – fromBlondie to The Stone Roses, Take That and The Who.

Fans 'kicked off page' when selecting Oasis tickets
Desperate fans have taken to X to show how they were 'kicked off the page' when selecting tickets for Oasis gigs.
Lisa Jackson told MailOnline:
Been in the queue since 8.30am Finally got to position one, selected number of tickets, area to sit and just keep getting an error message.
Gives you the option to choose a different date but then put back in a queue again!
Gavin Fullerton was experiencing similar issues. When selecting two standing tickets, Ticketmaster booted him out of the screen,
A notification read: 'Our bad... Something went wrong. Let's start over.'
'Now I have 200,000 people in front of me!' Gavin tweeted.

How Liam Gallagher's foray into fashion fell flat
By Lydia Hawken
Still waiting in line? Read this to pass the time.
Madonna had her pointy bralette, Amy Winehouse had her beehive and Liam Gallagher has his parkas.
During Oasis' 17 years in the spotlight, the lead singer, 51, often donned his signature waterproof coats on stage.
So when the band was on the brink of a split in 2009, it was hardly a surprise that Liam - who will be reuniting with Oasis next year - decided to break into the world of fashion.

Oasis fans experience MORE tech issues
Although Ticketmaster claims their site has not crashed, it appears Oasis fans are receiving some brand new error messages when attempting to purchase tickets.
One man tweeted that he got an error message saying he was 'already in line'.
Astrid from London told MailOnline that she got to the front of the queue for Oasis tickets at Wembley just before 10am this morning 'just to be kicked out'.
'Haven't even been able to join the queue again since. Apparently, Ticketmaster now thinks I'm a bot
The same happened to pretty much all of my friends. The only (very few) people I know that managed to get tickets are based outside the UK.
10:34
'Huge possibility' Oasis tickets are being bought by bots, IT experts warn
IT experts say there is a 'huge possibility' that high numbers of Oasis tickets are being purchased by computer bots at once.
Ticket re-sellers often use automated software to buy more tickets for events than they are allowed, only to sell them on at higher prices.
Jake Moore, global cybersecurity adviser at software security firm Eset said some groups have the right software and knowledge to manipulate ticket websites, and even use bots to 'swoop in and purchase high numbers of tickets at once'.
Many people used social media to say that they had been suspended from the Ticketmaster website as they were assumed to be a bot.
Mr Moore said: 'Bots mimic the activity of real users and even manipulate their location using off-the-shelf software such as a VPN.
'This is usually counteracted using bot detection software but this can often produce false positives when real users are assumed to be bots themselves.'
Industry expert Adam Leon Smith of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, said the inevitable popularity of the Oasis reunion was 'bound' to lead to website glitches.
Mr Leon Smith said using automated tools or bots is the 'most common way' of making money from tickets in 2024.

Viagogo defend inflated prices for Oasis tickets
The band have already warned fans against buying tickets outside of Ticketmaster and Twickets.
But now the managing director of ticket resell website Viagogo has defended selling Oasis tickets at an inflated price.
Cris Miller said: 'This is a dream event anticipated by millions worldwide.
'Our number-one tip for fans using secondary marketplaces is to continue to check prices outside of the first few weeks of sale.
'Demand will be at its peak when tickets hit the on-sale but it's not a normal reflection of what tickets can and will go for. Just this summer tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in the UK sold on our platform for as low as £80.'
He added: 'In the case of Oasis - a highly anticipated event - we saw the primary sites struggling to manage demand even before the on-sale, and site crashes.
'We know fans are frustrated with the process and we know there is a better way. We continue to support industry collaboration to ensure the entire ticketing market works for fans and the live entertainment industry.
'Resale is legal in the UK and fans are always protected by our guarantee that they will receive their tickets in time for the event or their money back.'

Wheelchair users struggle to get accessible tickets for Oasis at Wembley
Wheelchair users have expressed their dismay at trying (and failing) to get tickets to the Oasis gig at Wembley.
Accessible tickets for the London venue are available to book through a phone number - which no one seems to be picking up.
An exasperated fan tweeted: Trying to get wheelchair accessible tickets plus also in the queue - no answer from the number. What's going on Wembley?'
She shared a screenshot of her call log, showing she has attempted to call the venue 77 times.
One wheelchair user said: 'I've given up trying to get Oasis tickets for Wembley.
'Nearly 1000 calls and cant get through. The amount of hoops you have to jump through to get a wheelchair ticket is ridiculous.
'I'm sure they'd rather have 5 or six people crammed in standing at £150 each instead of a wheelchair!'
Another Oasis fan said: 'Been trying to get disability access tickets for Oasis at Wembley for nearly two hours and only get an engaged tone…not even in a queue.'
She revealed she had called Wembley's accessibility line 1,155 times already this morning.

Oasis fans: 'Bring back queuing outside record shops!'
Thousands of Oasis fans have been waiting in line to get tickets for hours now, with many mourning the 'good old days' when you would physically queue outside record stores for gig tickets.
Some suggested an in-person queue would move faster than the current one on Ticketmaster.
Daniel tweeted: 'Might be time to bring back actually queuing outisde a record shop for tickets because clearly Ticketmaster, SeeTickets and GigsandTours can't be trusted.'
Another distraught fan said: 'At this rate it would have been quicker to ask Mr Sifter to sell the tickets in his record shop! The queue would have gone down quicker.'

Pre-sale Supernova! Fans who bagged Oasis tickets yesterday speak out about experience
The first Oasis tickets went on sale at 7pm yesterday for the lucky few who managed to get a pre-sale code.
Rosa from Spain told MailOnline that she was lucky enought to get tickets in the pre-sale but that the process was 'quite chaotic'.
She said: 'The whole thing took me three hours. You basically purchased the tickets without really knowing what you would get as the differentoptions were not explained beforehand clearly anywhere.
'Some of the tickets offered were quite "bad" for the price.
'I got kicked out of the queue twice for taking too long to decide. Then, I had problems during payment as the payment systemdidn't accept a Spanish zip code. Ticketmaster didn't accept my Paypal account either.
'In the end after trying again and again I refreshedthe website and the payment went through with my debit card.'
In the end, Rosa paid £1,015 for two tickets including the pre-show party and an exhibition fan package.
'Those are not the tickets that I wanted,' Rosa said. 'But I had no other option. In the end, I feel very lucky!
'I already booked the hotel and I am all ready for the countdown.'

I toured the world with Noel and Liam Gallagher at the peak of their chaotic brilliance - but NOT everyone was impressed
While you wait in line for the chance to grab Oasis tickets, you should pass the time by reading this:
A new younger generation will now experience Oasis for the first time. Expect tickets to fly out. Yet what does this mean for the band's legacy?
It was very telling that in a recent interview, Noel mourned the passing of those incredible early years when the band reached out to so many people with real meaning. 'I would give anything to get those days back,' he sighed.
I know what he means. I was lucky enough to be there when it took off, having bonded with Noel over music and football. Noel, at that point, was level-headed and fun and simply refused to take things seriously.

It has not been announced who will be performing with Liam and Noel as part of Oasis.
But speaking exclusively to MailOnline from his mother's hometown of Kinnetty, Ireland, today, McCarroll revealed that his former bandmates had not yet been in touch with him, telling MailOnline: 'They haven't reached out yet and to be honest I'm not holding my breath.
'Would I consider being involved? I don't know. At the end of the day I'm not the only ex-member left behind, so I'll just crack on.
'I haven't made up my mind if I'm going to watch them play next year either. I was at their last ever gig in the UK at the V Festival. It's weird and ironic that I was there at the first and last gig.
'I think we all knew it was going to happen and it had to happen.

Top tips to secure Oasis tickets
- Sign up to the pre-sale ballot by 7pm Wednesday.

Oasis goes to war with the ticket touts
Oasis fans were left fuming last night after resale tickets were being flogged for thousands of pounds just minutes after the firstpeople in the country managed to secure passes for next summer's UK tour.
Greedy ticket touts immediately set to work reselling tickets at sky-high prices of up to £10,000. FanFair Alliance - a group opposing 'industrial scale' secondary ticketing - said that they found 80 tickets hoping to make a staggering £200,000 within 20 minutes of the presale.
Some are now being flogged for well over £6,000 each for the gig at London's Wembley Stadium. Others, for hospitality clubs, can be found at a stunning £10,578 for two people.
This is despite themost expensive ticket initially being up for grabs for £506.25 -with gigs in the capital starting at £74.25.

Thousands of fans applied for the Oasis Live 25 tour presale ballot and spent much of yesterday waiting for a confirmation email from the band.
However, many are now feeling 'gutted' and 'heartbroken' after the band confirmed that 'all ticket ballot codes have now been sent out to fans'.
But despite having 'heavy hearts' many are gearing up for the 'Ticketmaster battle' today at 8am and planning their strategies for the general sale queue that they fear will cause the site to 'crash'.
